Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Charles Fernandez took time out of his busy schedule today (Fri) to extend a very special welcome to Celebrity Reflection on the occasion of its inaugural call into the Heritage Quay Pier.
The Hon. Minister was joined by other Tourism and Cruise Industry Officials as well as agents from Bryson’s Shipping to welcome Captain Dimitris, his crew and some 3000 passengers to Antigua and Barbuda.
During the Official plaque hand-over ceremony on board the vessel, the Tourism Minister noted jovially that all was done to ensure perfect conditions for the inaugural call of Reflection including the weather and he expressed the hope that everything met the Captain’s satisfaction.
Captain Dimitris, expressed his delight at the infrastructural developments taking place at the port but highlighted the fact that he is in love with the destination that he has visited on different Celebrity vessels because of the hospitality of the Antiguan and Barbudan people.
Celebrity Reflection joins a fleet of three other vessels (Summit, Eclipse and Silhouette) which will be making regular rounds to Antigua and Barbuda this winter season.
