Point Man Arrested for Alleged Break-in

Shakar Edwards of Point is currently in police custody assisting the police with their
investigations after he was found inside a business place, he allegedly had broken into.
On Sunday, the police were on mobile patrol along Teacher’s Drive in the vicinity of Antigua
Grammar School, when they observed a cook shop operated by Bernadette Richards of Villa,
appeared to have been broken into. A search was carried out around the area and inside the shop
and Edwards was found hiding under a counter. He was arrested and taken into custody. Further
investigations are on-going into the matter and he is likely to be charged for the offence. The
alleged incident occurred around 8:00 p.m.
