Police Force mourns loss of two female officers in two weeks

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, in the space of two weeks are mourning the loss of another female officer. News broke on Saturday of the passing of Constable Laurel Sandra Warner of Herberts, who lost a battle with cancer. Corporal Bernadette Nicholas, on the other hand preceded her in death, when she passed at the Mount St. Johns Hospital on 12th February, after a brief illness. 

Constable Warner last worked at the Prosecution Department and was attached to the Magistrate’s Court. Corporal Nicholas was attached to the Protective Operation Department (POD) and last worked at the High Court. Both officers would have given more than Forty combined years of service to the Police Force. Nicholas will be laid to rest at the St Phillips Anglican Church on the Thursday 3rd March, 2016. The service begins with tribute at 1:30 pm. Funeral arrangements for Constable Warner will be announced at a later date.
